Homecoming parade draws larger crowd than previous years
The annual Homecoming parade, pep rally and bonfire were held on Wednesday, Sept. 12.
The parade started at Prairie Ridge Elementary School and wound through the Grey Oaks subdivision.
StuCo sponsor Jessica DeWild thought the parade went better than last year.
“I think it went well,” DeWild said. “I think we had a lot more spectators this year than last year. I also think the floats were better this year.”
Afterwards, the community was invited to a pep rally and bonfire at Jaguar Stadium, where StuCo introduced the fall sports and activities.
Senior Sarah Thomas felt the pep rally and bonfire were bittersweet.
“I thought the whole night was good,” Thomas said. “I really liked the bonfire this year. It was huge. I was kind of sad though since it was my last one.”
The Homecoming dance will be on Saturday, Sept. 15 from 8:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. in the gymnasium and commons.
