This week is WPA spirit week. Tomorrow is twin day. Thursday, Feb. 23 is super hero day. Friday, Feb. 24 will be spirit wear day.
WPA is Friday, Feb. 24 night. If you are bringing someone that does not attend here, you must have a guest dance form
filled out, approved and in the office by Wednesday, Feb 22. Guest dance forms are in the office.
All bowlers please meet in coach Adam Wessel’s room immediately following school for a brief meeting.
English teacher Kristen Crosbie’s AP 11 extra credit opportunity showing will be next Tuesday, Feb. 28, starting at seminar and ending around 4:30 p.m. in A201.
There is a mandatory meeting in health teacher Sarah Haub’s room during seminar tomorrow for anyone trying out for the 2012 softball team. Players, you need to be there to receive all information.
Course selection forms are due this Friday, Feb. 24 in the counseling office from all current freshmen, sophomores, and juniors. The yellow Ed-Tech forms are also due in the counseling office on Friday, Feb 24 for those students interested in touring and attending the Eudora Agriculture,Vet-Tech, Graphic Design, Communications, Culinary Arts, Health Careers, or Auto Collision programs. Friends in Learning, Teacher Aide, and Community Service forms are also due in the counseling office on Friday, Feb. 24 as well.
Voyager students: don’t miss out on “Brain Games – Seeing Is Believing …or is it?” on Tuesday, Feb. 28 during blue three.
All boys planning on trying out for tennis need to turn in their physical and other paperwork to coach Eric Ammerman as soon as possible. The deadline to turn in paperwork is tomorrow. If you need the proper forms, please go to the web site to print them. If you already turned in paperwork for another sport, please let Ammerman know.
Are you responsible, dependable, and interested in tennis? Then consider becoming a manager for the boys’ tennis team this spring. If you are interested, please see Ammerman in room B234.
The first day of track practice is quickly approaching. All students interested in participating in track need to turn paperwork in to coach Chris Dunback as soon as possible. If you need a copy of the paperwork packet, he has extras. The first day of practice is on Monday, Feb. 27.
Attention all seminars: we are going for the Green with a food drive to help support Harvesters. We will register as a school and the school that collects the most meals will win the traveling trophy and a free entry into the 2013 St.
Patrick’s Day Parade! Here is how it will work: bring in needed canned food, veggies, fruit, boxed meals, peanut butter, and soup to your seminar and Jag members will come and collect it. We will keep track and the seminar that collects the most will receive an ice cream sundae party. We will begin collecting on Wednesday, Feb. 22 and collect through Thursday, Mar. 8. Please be generous.
All Jag and Art Club members interested in helping with the Chili Bowl sale, please come sign up in art teacher Jodi Ellis’ room, art teacher Erica Crist’s room or art teacher Jerry Howard’s room.
Any student interested in participating in a spring break or summer humanitarian trip to Guatemala please see Ellis to pick up a flyer with pertinent and time sensitive information.

The girls basketball team extended its winning streak to 15 in a row by defeating Piper 36-19 last Friday, Feb. 17 night. This week is the end of the regular season with the Lady Jags having two home games. Tonight they will host the Lansing Lions and then on Friday, Feb. 24 they will play Bishop Ward.
You are invited out on Wednesday, Feb. 22 evening at 6:30 p.m. to congratulate the 12 wrestlers that made it to state this past weekend at regionals. There will a pep assembly in the Auxiliary gym to wish the wrestlers good luck as they prepare for state next weekend. Help us celebrate the hard work and dedication of these young men and the coaches as we send our largest group of wrestlers ever to state! Congratulations coach Travis Keal, coach Kale Mann, and coach Hudgins for an outstanding showing this weekend as they took second at regionals. The following wrestlers qualified: sophomore Landon Scott, freshman Logan Marx, sophomores Daniel Gray, Tyler Dickman , Bryan Burnett, Jake Ellis, seniors Christian Service, Devin Ellison, junior Derrick Paxton, sophomores Jake Gramke, Adam Swearengin and senior Zach Callahan. Congratulations Dickman for being Regional Champion.
